The house is perfect for families with children of all ages. The playroom has toys and a TV/DVD, the large enclosed garden in the back is ideal for playing tennis or badminton (rackets provided). The kids will also like jumping off the nearby pier for a swim or fishing for crabs in the sand holes.
The patio has a large outdoor table for breakfast or evening meals on the warmer days.
The Loop Head Peninsula has been nominated as a European Habitat Eden. Bring walking whoes and you can start your rambles from the door of the cottage! The area is also perfect for birdwatching and nature walks, for boating and kayaking. There's a fine sandy beach in Doonaha, just 5 mins. away, but swimming is also possible from the local pier at high tide. The next village, Carrigaholt, is a 10 mins. drive away, with post office, shops, a fine restaurant and a fishing harbour. Delphin and Nature Observation boat tours start from here in the season. All sights of the Loop Head Peninsula, including the fantastic cliffs scenery along the Atlantic coastline are only short drives away.
It is an easy drive as well to the Kilkee Beach, the golf couses in Kilkee, Kilrush and Doonbeg; to the Cliffs of Moher, Doolin, the Burren, to Ennis and to Bunratty castle. Shannon Airport is 1 hour away.
